I get no video. It just leaves a blank box.

I only see a blank white box so I can't run any video. It shows a picture for about 2 seconds then the blank box appears. I just downloaded firefox and it installed.

Hi,

You can try to Disable one of the two Flash entries (preferably Shockwave Flash 11.4 r402) in Tools (Alt + T) > Add-ons > Plugins and check. You may also have to delete the pluginreg.dat file in the Firefox Profile Folder after exiting Firefox. To open the profile folder via Firefox: Help (Alt + H) > Troubleshooting Information > Show Folder.

If problems persist, please try to fully uninstall, and then reinstall the latest Flash player after exiting Firefox.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
