I am unable to recover bookmarks. Also, my computer has been periodically crashing. Please help.

I cannot recover my bookmarks. I have Windows 7 but use Mozilla Firefox.

I think I tried to update firefox. Anyway, the problem is that I cannot recover my bookmarks - even after reading and following much online advice.

Also, I use google as my home page.

Are you using Firefox Sync or any other sync service like Xmarks?

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox Profile Folder.
