In safe mode FF doesn't hang when I type text. I tried then disabling all add-ons, after I restated in regular mode, it didn't help. I made a fresh install of FF, it also didn't help. I tried disabling anti virus, nothing. I can't figure what is happening since I updated. I am on a Netbook without a lot o resources but I make sure to be on 30-40% of CPU during tests and it still happens. I also tried the troubleshooting add-ons page and it didnt help.

Hi,

Perhaps it is the hardware acceleration which is disabled in Safe Mode: Tools > Options > Advanced > General.

Thank Wilfred, its running smoothly now. I had tried this before as part of some other troubleshooting guide, but since you suggested it, I tried it again and it helped this time. Here is the catch, if I dont restart the Browser this solution doesnt take effect! So if anyone is having the same trouble make sure to restart after disabling hardware acceleration!
