The message flashed when I turned computer on. It said it was from Firefox. I use Mozilla Firefox. I clicked on "protect" and then it said to download some weird protection. I realized it was not legit and deleted it, but worry it might have put a trojan or virus on my computer anyway. Re my Refresh button: Just give it back!!!! It disappeared awhile back from my menu bar on top of the page.

Firefox does not send out any security warning messages, it's a browser only. Do not click or answer any of this kinds of pop-ups, if you do, it'll install virus/spywares into your PC. Just ignore them.

Please read this article and follow cor-el suggestions to scan your PC with those anti-virus/spywares programs to make sure your PC hasn't been infected.
