For the past week everytime I hit CTRL key the page text reduces down in size considerably and the page flips about all over. Chrome works fine for me with no problems using CTRL cut and paste. How can I stop this’ for ‘Firefox’ please as it's my go to browser with all my useful shortcuts on the toolbar.

Arrrgh! Just found the solution on another question. I removed the mouse wireless unit from the PC for 30 seconds and put it in another slot. Worked normally again!

Note: It's possible one of the 'command' keys is stuck. Press all of the keys hard several times.

Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Thanks for the response. I don't have the issue in Word, Google Chrome etc. It only happens in Firefox and oddly Thunderbird. I tried cleaning keyboard etc, but it isn't a hardware problem because it only appears as above. Also tried using safe troubleshooting mode, but the problem persists. Have I possibly re-set something, or has one of the recent updates caused this. It's very frustrating. If I need to re-load Firefox how can I keep all my toolbar shortcuts and passwords? Thank you.
