Problems downloading emails from Hotmail since upgrade to Thunderbird 78.13
I upgraded to 78.13 last week, and since that time I haven't been able to download emails from my hotmail account. Outgoing mail works fine from Thunderbird, and I have the following configuration for POP (which I haven't changed):
Pop Server Name: pop-mail.outlook.com Port 995 Connection Security: SSL/TLS Authentication method: Normal password
I do not have two factor authentication on my Hotmail account, and it has the following option selected: Let devices and apps use POP: Yes
I also tried outlook.office365.com, but it didn't make a difference.
The error message I receive from Thunderbird is:
Sending of password for user ...@hotmail.com did not succeed. Mail server pop-mail.outlook.com responded: +
Could you please advise what else I should try?

start by looking in your hotmail settings on the web for the correct pop settings to use. The web site has offered details of the correct setting for some years now.
This link should take you there https://outlook.live.com/mail/0/options/mail/accounts
My setting for that page show as Server name: outlook.office365.com Port: 995 Encryption method: TLS (which in Thunderbird is SSL/TLS)
The most common cause of failure to get mail post update is an anti virus product, or it's firewall component blocking Thunderbird from connecting to the internet. Try checking that products settings.
