Why when in a non home page tab and I click on home icon, FF goes to print what is in the current tab and when I cancel the print preview FF will not go to home page goes back to non home page tab.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode;

Type about:preferences#advanced<Enter> in the address bar.

Under Advanced, Select General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.

Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?
