Getting rid of AVG search bar
When I open the new tab page, my thumbnails are shrunken to half their size and an AVG search bar is sprawled across the top of the page. I would like to eliminate that search bar and have the thumbnails restored to their former size. Can that be done?

Hi davids139, Thank you for your question. I understand that the new tab page has a search bar and you would like that to be removed as well as restore the tiles to the previous version's size.
Currently this is the design of the new tab page. There is a button on the top right that can hide everything by clicking on it, as well as an about:config entry that stores the url of the page that loads when a new tab is opened. However currently this search bar cannot be removed from the new tab page.

No built in button or option to remove the search bar but there are hacks to achieve this.
