Firefox won't load photos except the one under main headline, doesn't show tabs for different sections like main, politics, business, etc, won't let me sign on, post, or read comments. If I pull up huffingtonpost.com in Internet Explorer all photos appear, tabs are shown, it keeps me signed in, so I can post or read comments and participate in community.

Huffingtonpost is my home page on firefox, and I want to be able to see all sections, photos, and post and reply to comments. It has been my home page for ages, and I staed signed in. Now when I click on sign-on nothing happens. I also couldn't contact you from Firefox, so had to go to Internet Explorer to write this.

Please help. Thanks

Do you use any add-ons that alter websites based on the domain? For example, ad blockers and script blockers might do this. Because high-traffic websites often use additional domains and/or third party content distribution networks, their content sometimes can be partially blocked unexpectedly by rules targeted at other sites.

With respect to images specifically, check out this article: Fix problems that cause images to not show.

And for the sake of completeness, when you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.

(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache

Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.

(You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:

orange Firefox button or Tools menu > Options > Advanced

On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now")

(2) Remove the site's cookies using either of these. While viewing a page on the site:

  • right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
  • Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"

Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

I don't use ad ons, but clearing out the history, including cache and cookies fixed the problem. Thank you!
