I've been using Mozilla Thunderbird for many years and I have not faced any issues. However, since last two days the outgoing emails stopped working as it is unable to connect to the SMTP server. I tried all possible combinations, I even tried with Outlook and Claw email, but none of them are able to connect to SMTP server for sending email. I searched various articles and tried to disable the antivirus and firewall, nothing worked. I'm using Windows 10 with Windows Defender as antivirus and firewall. I dont know what else to try. I'm using webmail now as I'm unable to get Thunderbird or any other email client to send emails. Hope someone can tell me what exactly is blocking the SMTP outgoing emails and how can it be fixed. thanks.

Hello

I'd suggest my standard debugging spiel, go to Settings / General, scroll down to the button 'Config Editor', click it, enter 'mailnews.smtp.loglevel', set it to 'All' instead of 'Warning', click the check to validate, then open Tools / Dev tools / Error console, click on the bin to clear it, then try to send a mail. After it fails, copy / paste the error console here. If there is personal information that you prefer to not display, replace it with something easy to interpret as such, like 'xxx' or 'hidden'.
