Can open website but cannot access one particular section
No errors, it just doesn't show. (Whether ABP is on or off.) Same thing happened at IE.
The last issues I ran into with this section (news quiz), no matter which week I clicked on, it always and ONLY opened to one quiz from a couple of years ago. Open Slate to Slate News Quiz. Click on any week. There is text, but the news quiz never fills page.

Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

- How to clear the Firefox cache {web link}
Hey, Fred,
Enhanced tracking was enabled and disabled and made no difference. But in IE also...
I went into safe mode and was able to see the quiz, but not in the usual format. It usually opens in another page with graphics and timer, etc. This did not.
Interesting. Have to see if I can open it now back in NORMAL mode. Nope - I cannot.
Thank you.
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/diagnose-firefox-issues-using-troubleshoot-mode
Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily turns off hardware acceleration, resets some settings, and disables add-ons (extensions and themes), any userChrome.css/userContent.css files, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem. If the problem goes away, that tells us one thing. If it does not, that tells us something else.
After I relaxed various kinds of blocking, the quiz appeared embedded in a frame in the page below that "to function properly." There are two images and a "Start Quiz" button. The embedded page is from https://interactives.slate.com/ but If I try to launch that page out it doesn't work stand-alone. I don't have an account, in case that makes any difference.
Hey, jscher,
I cannot open your link, whether FF or an image viewer, but you don't need an account to access the news quiz.
Sounds right by your description, though.
Thank you.
Fred,
It is not behaving the way it normally behaves, so I cannot attribute SM to solving the problem. It helped, though. Stuck in the middle, sort of.
