when I press the plus sign for email contacts, it says there are no contacts, but the list is intact.

When I try to compose an e-mail, I cannot get to my contacts list to pull the address. It says there are no contacts, but when I open the contacts tab, it is full. It jumps around to a different home city each time, but when I check the correct home city is listed.
