browser.tabs.warnOnClose is set to true - Firefox 49 browser still does not prompt to confirm closing window
I just upgraded from 41 to Firefox 49 on a mac with OSX 10. I searched all of the info about how to get the browser to prompt a warning if you have open tabs and you try to quit the program or close a window. My startup is set to Show my Home Page My config settings browser.tabs.warnOnClose is set correctly to True. The Preference General panel, Tab settings only list 2 options, These are the 2 options "Open new windows in a new tab instead" "When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately."
There is no option for prompting upon close.
I am used to pressing Command Q to quit and seeing that warning so I really miss that prompt. Any suggestions would be great, thanks.

How are you closing Firefox? How many tabs were open?
Try this; set browser.showQuitWarning to true
Maybe look at browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab preference also?
Thanks for the quick answers. It seems that I had to toggle the settings once more and that seems to be the answer.
But I am still not understanding why I don't have the warning as a choice in the General Tab > Tabs like I had in older versions
