I am a newbie - used igoogle on my Mac as my home page for years. I want to learn about how to set up Firefox as a homepage and don't know the first step! I want a start page that has news, sports, etc as any other. I have a my yahoo account but would rather customize my own Firefox Start Page with what is trending, news, sports, stocks, etc and other and news for my interest like IMac, iPad, iPhone and CNET, just to name a few. Is there anything like this to take me from step one adding what I need and how to add it? Thanks for your patience.

Firefox is a web browser, like Safari. A home page is the web site that loads when you first start the browser. I don't know what you mean when you say you want to make Firefox your home page. If you're referring to the built-in home page (what you get if you type about:home into the address bar and press Enter), I don't think it's possible to customize it.

You can however set any home page you want (iGoogle, My Yahoo!, etc.) and use the site's features to customize it. See the following article for directions.
