I read in another post that it is impossible to undo the action, but is there anywhere the files are stored after firefox removed them? I use Huawei file manager to look for the files, and sadly they are gone. The pictures are also missing from the gallery, is there anything I can do to retrieve them? It is 2 years of items that are suddenly gone from my mobile, it is practically impossible for me to retrieve them otherwise.

Moving forward, can I revoke permission for firebox to delete items? Because normally on desktop, deleting downloads does not remove files...

Hi

The best place to look is in the "downloads" folder on your Android device. This is where the files would have been downloaded to. This folder can be accessed through a file manager app on you device.

I checked, in fact I was trying to see if the items I was downloading was ready and I watched in horror as Firefox begins removing the files from the downloads folder since there is roughly 500 items, but there was no stopping it. From the android Huawei file manager, I searched for the items and none shown up. Truly a dangerous implementation since the functionality differ to desktop browsers.

A prompt stating that it will also remove actual files would have been nice.
