I'm using Thunderbird 68.2.2 with English interface. I added my ukr.net mail account and the folder names (Drafts, Sent Mail, Spam) are in Russian. I asked the mailbox provider why is it so, but they told me that it's a question to client's support team. Is it IMAP server who provides folder names? How can I rename them?

Chosen solution

IMAP accounts synchronise with server, so in effect the server folders and the folders you see in Thunderbird are one and the same. It's like having a virtual view of the server without using a browser to access webmail account. When you logon to the ukr.net webmail account via a browser what default folder names do you see? You cannot rename default server folders.
