Location Bar autocomplete function no longer works

After I cleared my history a couple of days ago, I noticed that the autocomplete funtion of the Location Bar no longer worked. I've visited many sites since then, and yet they don't come up, neither do my bookmarks. In Firefox "preferences", privacy, I have selected "History and Bookmarks" for the location bar. I've tried to use Firefox in safe mode, but the problem was also present in safe mode.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
Thanks!!! That was it. I followed the instructions, and deleted the "places.sqlite" file and now everything is back to normal.
