I am running FF4. In preferences/security, you can click on saved passwords. I see a list but cannot edit it.

It is the fault maybe of the website but basically a subdirectory of a site has one username/password, and another subdirectory has another. I need to use both subdirectories. however, FF4 asks if i want to save the password for the root site. so i keep getting the wrong username/password shortcut when i go to one of the subdirectories, and have to manually type in.

I noticed you can backup passwords in a file. I am wondering if you can direct me to the config? file where I could go in and manually change the URI of each username/password to the correct one with the subdirectory detail. I am running Mac OSX 10.6.7. mucho thanks, liz

You can't differentiate between subdirectories in Firefox, so even if you would edit the URL then it wouldn't work and you might corrupt the file by doing that.

I think i can maybe edit the url in my bookmarks to include the username and password. if this is so then next time some one asks answer them this.
