I open bookmarks sidebar menu (ctrl+B), create new folder through context menu, assign name to this folder but the name is being assign to last bookmark in the list instead. So I have to rename folder manually. Tried safe mode — still have this problem.

That is likely a bug in current Firefox releases.

  • bug 1208056 - Creating new folder for bookmarks in sidebar from context menu assigns given name to last item on same level like new folder
  • bug 1206376 - Changing properties of a new bookmark while adding it acts on the last bookmark in the current container
