Bookmark function does not bookmark any site whatsoever.
Firefox quit working completely, so I completely removed it from control panel, restarted computer and downloaded versions 32.0.3 All of my old bookmarks will have to be re-added as the import function would not work. went to my first website and clicked bookmark this page and no bookmark was created.

Problems with bookmarks and history not working properly can be caused by a corrupted places.sqlite database file.
Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.
Under the page logo on the left side you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To it’s right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.
Locate the file. Then rename or delete it. Restart Firefox.
These can't get your data back, but will help in the future.
