No scroll bar on some sites when running FF 32.0.1 on Win 8.1 64 bit HP Envy Touchsmart
Have a brand new 17" HP Envy Touchsmart notebook, Intel i7 4710HQ 2.5GHz w/12GB ram. Running win 8.1 64 bit, and FF 32.0.1 Also have an HP 2000 notebook PC AMD E-300 1.3GHz, w/4GB ram and also running Win8.1 64 bit & FF 32.0.1. Both machines ran a Windows update last night (9/14/2014) requiring reboot this morning. Ever since when I try to access the e-course I teach at <www.macmillanhighered.edu/launchpad/strayer2evol2/882566>, on the new machine there are no scroll bars, neither horizontal or vertical appearing, so I am unable to navigate around the page. I've tried changing screen resolution, changing mouse settings, and the "control zone" scroll pad settings to no avail. I tried refreshing my windows setup to undo the update, still nothing. It worked just fine last night and the other laptop continues to render the page fully. The new machine has this same problem in Chrome, and as well in Safari, which I downloaded and tried also. Remarkably though, for once IE is actually working in this instance and FF has let me down, it is a dark day in digital land. PLEASE HELP.

Sadly You Need To Take This Up To The Creator Of The Website As They May Have NOT Made It Compatible For Firefox. That Might Just Be The Winner! From Mitch Happy Firefoxing!
Well actually it does. It works perfectly on my other laptop, which is running the same versions of Windows and Firefox. Only difference is the one which will not render the page properly is 4 yrs newer, about double the CPU speed and 3x as much ram on it. I also tried it today on a new machine in one of the labs on campus that runs win 8.1 and the page displayed fine on it as well. It also' did not' have the touch screen feature, even though was new install over the summer.
So I think you are about half right, it is a compatibility issue , but it seems to only affect touch screen notebooks. My other thought was that possibly it could have something to do with connection speed. Just ran a test on that here are results.
