Wiping sessionstore on Crash
Firefox crashes everynow and again like all browsers when under heavy usage. However recently every time FireFox has crashed it has been unable to restore my last opened session.
After some research I found there is a sessionstore.js file in the Firefox App Data. After my last crash which I experience a few minutes ago I restarted my browser. I saw all my tabs on the restore page when Firefox opened and just as I thought the problem had fixed itself they all dissapeared. I went to the sessionstore.js file and found it was wiped clean.
Luckily there is a sessionstore.bak file which had the data in, after closing firefox, copying the data into sessionstore.js and reopening firefox I had my session back.
tl;dr: Does anyone know why Firefox is wiping this sessionstore.js file when I reopen the browser after a crash. The data is there, but wiped just before you can click restore session.
Thanks!

Session data needs to be written to that file as Firefox is closing down. When Firefox crashes some session data will be lost as the temporary (while Firefox is running) file is lost.
You need to be working (with us) on keeping Firefox from crashing to begin with. To do that, please "Ask a new question" here - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new Then provide the requested information; especially your Trouble Shooting Information and some Crash Report ID #'s.

When Firefox is started then Firefox renames the sessionstore.js file to sessionstore.bak to make it possible to restore the previous session at any time during the current session (History > Restore Previous Session) and creates a new sessionstore.js file for the current session.
