Firefox crashes
I have two machines on which Firefox crashes often while working. I have submitted my crash IDs with the other machine yesterday, I'm doing the same for the second machine with this thread. Hardware acceleration is disabled. Crashes happen with add-ons enabled (haven't tried safe mode). Crashes happen in a random manner. There are quite many Firefox CPU spikes on this machine.

The poster has pointed out to me that this is about a second computer and Firefox install so it is not a duplicate thread per say. Carry on.

Note that the reports in both of your threads both reports seem to indicate an OOM (out-of-memory) issue, so may still be related.

You may either have to add extra memory or increase the virtual memory (page file) size or try to find out which process is using up your memory.

cor-el, they might be related, I agree. I use similar (but not the same) add-ons, so if it's a problem with add-ons, it could be the same one. I'm also using synced profile for both machines.
My both machines are running low on memery, but usualy because of Firefox. The process using the most memory by far is always Firefox - somewhere between 1 and 1.5 GB. I have 3 to 4 GB of memory plus 1.5 times page file. No other programs have such problems, so I still think the problem lies in Firefox or my add-ons or my profile.
Did you try a new profile without any extensions?
For testing such issues it is best to use the Profile Manager to create a new profile and not reset Firefox and avoid making major changes to the default setup.
Do both computers have the same security software?
Did you try to boot the computer in Safe Mode via F8 on the boot screen?
Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

I believe that, but than I can't work properly. And since these crashes happen after a longer time, I would need to use Firefox with a new profile, which is currently not acceptable. Is there a tool to move all data from a profile to a new one? Or a tool to fix a profile?
>> Do both computers have the same security software? No, different.
