Spell Checker Language absent - Tried fixes - No luck - need help please

Spell checker does not work. Language is missing. Messages say it's installed to Mozilla but does NOT appear when sending as the language seems absent. deleted and re-downloaded with no affect. I'm not very good at this so need help as my spelling is dyslexic.
