How can I undo the effect of hitting "ctrl + shift + ="?

I was composing a message, and accidentally hit "ctrl + shift + =" (as I have a AutoHotKey script that uses a similar keyboard shortcut), and it increased the font size for the entire message (no text was selected in the message at the time I hit the shortcut). Now every message I compose or respond to has this increased font size by default, and I can't figure out how to undo this. I've played with the message formatting options and the display options in the Thunderbird "Options" menu, with no luck. I looked through the list of Thunderbird keyboard shortcuts to try to figure out what function this keyboard shortcut performs, but don't see any mention of "ctrl + shift + =" (or "ctrl + shift + +"). Can someone tell me how to undo this?

Soluție aleasă

On my computer if I have the cursor at the beginning of a new Write message - nothing typed. then use 'Ctrl' + '+', then all font is enlarged, but only for that email.

'Ctrl' + '-' reduces font.

Tools > Options > Display > formatting Font and size: This sets the display font and size and the Write window font and size.

Tools > Options > Composition > General HTML Font should say 'Variable width' and Size = medium.

Update - the formatting on new and replied messages has now switched back to "normal" font size (how it was before), without any action on my part. No idea what's going on here.

Additional info

These 'Windows' shortcuts will work inside text areas of Thunderbird messages. 'Ctrl' + '+' increases text size 'Ctrl' + '-' decreases text size 'Ctrl' + '0' (zero) reverts to default text size

They are separate from any Thunderbird settings, and only affect the 'display' on the users own computer. It does not change the text size inside the sent message. Even if no message is open, the sequence will be remembered and ALL your messages will be displayed with the new font-size settings when they are eventually opened.

This adjustment will persist until you cancel with 'Ctrl 0', or close Thunderbird.
