Update 78 from 68 eliminated 10 of my most critical Folders most that had many folders under them. How do I get my missing folders back?? Is there a restriction on the number of folders in the new version? Same folders were missing when I tried to update to 78 in October. I hoped you fixed the problem with the newer versions. Anyone else have the same problem?

Are these folders in an IMAP account? If so, do they appear in the Subscribe window (right-click the account in the Folder Pane, Subscribe, Refresh)?

if those "critical" folders are IMAP based folders, then those are inside the (remote) mail server, so once you re-sync with mail server everything should be back like previous.

if they were local folders (inside the your/local computer/device) in TB , then those are still inside your TB "PROFILE" folder, inside your local computer. TB=Thunderbird.

so, either downgrade or use option-2 shown in this answer to use it via another/second TB , or manually transfer local-folder (folder & files) inside the new TB profile (option-3).
