When playing flash video on youtube or other website, the sound of the video continue whereas the tab is closed. I need to close firefox (cmd+q) to make it stop

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).
