Where do I find my spam folder?
Recently I was told to look in my spam folder for an email that didn't arrive . Do I have a spam folder. If so, where do I find it? Thank you.

Thunderbird doesn't use the word "spam", so if you do have a Spam folder, it's provided by someone else. Probably your email provider. Go to their email website.
I presume this is a POP-connected account, not IMAP. If it were IMAP you'd most likely see a spam folder in the account in Thunderbird.

ok its not called spam. Whatever its called. Where has it gone?
Thunderbird puts suspicious messages into Junk. The caution above about your Spam folder still stands, and the best place to look for a Spam folder is on your email provider's website; look for a place to login to your email account via your browser.
If you can't see any Spam or Junk folders then you may have a different problem. Mine are all visible in a narrow pane at the left-hand side of the main Thunderbird window.

If you have not setup Thunderbird Junk controls you will not have a Junk folder. By default Thunderbird marks messages it thinks are junk with a Junk icon and places them in your Inbox.
Thanks for your reply. BUT Ihave set up thunderbird andhave been using it for a fefw years. Yet when I fired up my lap top today my file have gone. I still have my junk file....but there is nothing in it anymore. No deleted, no personal folders no anything.
I still have them on my asus 10inch ( I am on it now) but mymain lap top. Boosh! It's all gone.
How can I retrieve please?
