In order to retrieve info at some sites, I need my password. They email my password, but they tell me to check the spam folder. Where do I find the spam folder? Messages designated as spam do not show up in my regular mailbox.

Thunderbird does not create a Spam folder. Your email provider might have one. Log into your account at your providers web mail site and see what you find there.

Thunderbird uses the term Junk instead of Spam to keep things separate. By default Thunderbird places a Junk icon beside anything it deems as junk and places it in your inbox unless to go into junk controls and change that operation. It sounds like you have not done that.

The folder may also be called Junk Mail. Check all your folders.

Might help if you told us what you are using for email.

Sorry, didn't know it was important. I have Thunderbird and Firefox. I suppose it's the Thunderbird that handles my email. By the way, none of the Junk folders has the answer. Thanks for your reply and your help.

I'm going to move this thread over to the Thunderbird support queue for their help.
