Why do I get a script error everytime I try to open Firefox 4?
Since the recent download of Firefox 4, I've been getting this message while trying to open my browser:
A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.
Script: chrome://tavgp/content/libs/include.js:595'
It gives me the options to continue or stop script. When I choose continue, nothing happens. When I choose stop script, Firefox opens up. The thing that annoys me the most is that there's a 'don't ask this again' check box that does not seem to work because I've been clicking that every single time.
This is the first time this has happened for any Firefox version.

Seems like one of your addons (possibly the AVG Security Toolbar addon) might be incompatible with Firefox 4. Try disabling the addon. You might have to open Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode in order to do so.

you might want to extend the timelimit for the script to respond here's how type about:config in the url bar type dom.max_script_run_time in the filter list double click on the integer and increase the timeout from 10 to 20

Per http://www.avg.com/us-en/avg-release-notes#tba1 AVG added Firefox 4 support recently on AVG Internet Security 2011.1191
Please verify you have that or a more recent version and contact AVG about this problem.
Configuring AVG Internet Security might be of help as well.
well im not sure if it was fixed by the disabling of the avg toolbar or updating avg. i did both so thanks for the help! much appreciated!
Same error message, I disabled tab mix and made sure I only have the newest version of Java, restarted firefox, now it seems to be fine no error yet on Pogo games or pictures upload to ebay which were the biggest problems besides hanging. I had also had disabled AVG secure search yesterday but that did not solve the issue. Now I will try to add back in AVG search...I have very few adds ons, also the note embedded about re- installing a toolbar went away, my old one did not work with FF4, so I installed Yahoo toolbar but the message still did not go away until I applied this fix. Hopes this helps someone..
