Firefox is not saving my tabs after closing even after I click save tabs.
Ever since the latest update, 3.6.12. I have not been able to save my sites when I close out of Firefox.
Before this last update I had no trouble.

Are you using the Save & Quit dialog or do you use "Show my windows and tabs from last time" ?
Tools > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time"
If you use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox in Firefox 3.5 and later to clear the 'Browsing History' when you close Firefox then restoring tabs from the last session ("Save & Quit" or "Show my windows and tabs from last time") doesn't work.
Cor-el,
Sorry for taking so long to get back to this but even if I use "Tools > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time". I end up with the same results.
In fact I just did the 3.6.13 update hoping that maybe it would fix the issue but no help at all.
So I'm using a laptop with Win 7, 64 bit. Plus like I had said before, it always saved the tabs right up until that last update. Now no matter what I do it always will only open my home page tab.
The only way I can save any other page is to bookmark them specifically. Which can get pretty tedious at times.
I just want to get back to the program doing what it's supposed to do.
Sorry got a double post for some reason.

Did you check the Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox settings?
Tools > Options > Privacy : History: Clear history when Firefox closes > Settings

Does Firefox create a file sessionstore.js in the Profile Folder ?
I have now cleared the checkbox for Clear Recent History. This is a setting that I have had disabled for quite some time so why should it be a problem now? Unless they have changed the way that the program works after all of this time. It only needs to remember the tabs that were open when I shut down my last session, not my viewing history!
As to the sessionstore.js file, yes it has been creating them.
I had exactly the same problem. Then I once used File->Exit instead of the Close button to finish the program, and magically at the next start it reloaded all windows and tabs. Now it seems to also work again with the Close button.
