I recently recovered and migrated my emails from Incredimail to Thunderbird, and the new PC after 39 days has developed a fault and has to be returned to Acer for appraisal, repair/replace. I'd like to be able to keep all my emails, folders etc. intact and wondered if it's possible to switch from the folders etc. being default on my PC to the cloud, so i can reload them when the PC comes back?

open the windows file explorer. On the line at the top which tells you which folder you are in, select it and type %appdata% and press enter. This will display some normally hidden folders. copy the Thunderbird folder and everything it contains (including sub folders and their contents) to a usb drive. Backup complete.

There is no cloud backup or use of folders in the cloud.
