University Student Portal Website Not Loading In Firefox, On My WiFi

I'm a university student and I use my 2019 MacBook Pro (16") as my school device.

I have successfully used it before in the past but, about a month ago my school's student portal "ASAP" stopped working only on my Mac and only on Firefox and Safari while connected to my WiFi.

I realize these are very specific conditions but, I have spent hours upon hours troubleshooting to try and figure out by myself and with the help of Apple support and Spectrum (my ISP) support, the cause of this issue.

The site loads perfectly fine on my Desktop PC in Firefox (Windows 10) when connected via ethernet and wifi. The site loads perfectly fine when I connect my Macbook via hotspot to my cellphone (iPhone XS MAX). I have tried emptying the browser cache and data. I just don't know what to do. This issue isn't a huge hindrance but, I would very much like for the site to work on my laptop in the case that my pc quits or I can't get to my pc for whatever reason.

Is there anyone out there that's experiencing similar occurrences? Or has any idea what might be happening based on the information I've given?

I've attached some screenshots of what it looks like when trying to connect to the site through firefox, when it doesn't work, trying to connect to the website via Opera and it working. I go to the main site, select ASAP, which takes me to the login page, and then it should connect to the individual student section of ASAP.

Also, can you rule out DNS over HTTPS as a potential factor? This article describes where that is enabled/disabled: Firefox DNS over HTTPS.

You can try to disable IPv6 (check for other possible causes as well).

You can remove all data stored in Firefox for a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History -> Show All History" or "View -> Sidebar -> History").

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox for this domain like history and cookies and passwords and exceptions and cache, so be cautious. If you have a password or other data for that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.

You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of involved files.

If you revisit a 'forgotten' website then data for that website will be saved once again.

Thank you for the replies. I'm trying to upload images currently but, I'm fairly new too macOS and so editing the screenshots to reduce size has been rough for me.

I attempted the dns-https fix but that didn't seem to help. I also tried changing the proxy settings and now I will try the "forget website data" option that cor-el brought up. I appreciate your attempts to help!

Here are the screenshots of it working on a different browser (Opera GX).

I attempted the "forget this site" solution and oddly enough, it worked. Then I closed firefox and reopened it to test if it solved the issue for good and it is back to not working again.

Note that you can also use the Inspector to modify or remove content you wish to exclude before making the screenshot.

You can check the Web Console (Tools -> Web Developer) for messages about blocked content.

You can check the Network Monitor to see if content is blocked or otherwise fails to load.

If necessary use "Ctrl+F5" or "Ctrl+Shift+R" (Mac: Command+Shift+R) to reload the page and bypass the cache to generate a fresh log.

So I went through the links you gave me and I appreciate you for taking the time to help me out here. I went through the web console and network console.

I'll attach screenshots to show you what I initially got. I was getting a "302" in the network monitor when the site wouldn't load. When I "Start performance analysis" in the network tab of the Web Dev tools, it seems to actually load... it's like the site isn't prioritizing my connection UNLESS it's being watched... like children bullying when their parents aren't looking and behaving when they are.

So it's doing the same thing as usual, not loading. But, when I look at the network and start the performance analysis it loads perfectly fine.

Does it has effect if you disable the disk cache in the Network Monitor ?

I am not sure where that option is. It is still doing the same thing currently. I tried again and this is what I got as error messages in the console. Network wasn't telling me anything interesting @cor-el
