I can't use Firefox anymore - I get an error when I'm opening a new tab or trying to open any site
I started after I tried to recover a tab that I closed (by ctrl+shift+t). After that, I started getting the attached error messages whenever I opened a tab and the browsing is no longer possible.
I reinstalled firefox but it didn't help.
What to do?
Using Win7 with all the latest updates.
Below is the error message. For some reason I can't upload the jpg: " firefox.exe - Application Error The exception unknown software exception (0xc0000409) occurred in the application at location 0x8002c8f8.
Click on OK to terminate the prgoram "

Hi,
I've done all the things you recommended but the problem persists.
This all started after the upgrade to the new major version.
Thanks
Make sure updated to 57.0.2 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/update-firefox-latest-version
See if fix took : Go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Help ? --> Troubleshooting Information Page and take a look in the Accessibility section if accessibility is set to "true" there. if yes, go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Options --> Privacy & Security panel and under Permissions check the setting to Prevent Accessibility Services from accessing your browser. Restart Firefox
If still issues : Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there? TEST as extensions are no working in Safe Mode. If no issues it could be a Extension, disable all then enable 1 and test....then again...test..

If still : You could try this please : Go the Menu then Tools --> Options --> Performance and untick everything. change the recommended size lower then see how it runs. Note: 0 = No Multi-proccesor = slow again. TRY 2 Restart Firefox after making these changes please.
