Thunderbird Crashes and No emails are downloaded since update
My thunderbird does not downloads any new emails all of a sudden. After closing Thunderbird, I get the Thunderbird crash screen. The following are the steps taken, but the problem still persists: 1. I have tried disabling all addons, and restarted thunderbird, but still no changes. 2. Tried to uninstall and reinstall latest thunderbird version, but no changes. I also tried installing Version 38.7.2, but no changes. 3. I tried to go to View-> Options->Security->Passwords->Saved Passwords, but there is nothing listed there. (I suspect this could be a reason for the problem.) Attached pictures for your reference.
The following is the Error Logs listed on opening thunderbird each time.

And does https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/safe-mode help?
Also...
Which antivirus do you have installed? And if it is McAfee, does disabling McAfee at tools | addons | extensions help? (please tell us)

I am using avast premier. Also, I have tried creating a different profile, and the problem does not re-occur. Kindly advice if it is possible to rectify the profile problem. Thank you!
I do not see the image you refer to in your original posting, but can you please post the troubleshooting information shown on the help menu. Use the copy to clipboard and paste into a reply here.
Do you save passwords in Thunderbird? You appear to think none showing is relevant. I am trying to figure out why. (Not saying your right or wrong)
Is it possible that a password prompt is hidden?

I did not have any master password for my profile. However, when I login to saved password the Saved Login page does not display the saved password for 3 email accounts I have associated with the profile. (Attached screenshot for your reference)
Taking a punt on the password files being corrupt.
On the toolbar > Help> troubleshooting information Clock the show folder button in Troubleshooting information Close Thunderbird
move the files key3.db and signons.sqlite files to your desktop. Restart Thunderbird.
Any change?

Tried that, but no changes. Crash ID: bp-ada6c993-2218-4797-94b3-a8d502160801 I have attached the password screen for your information. There are 3 imap accounts for which I have saved the password, but still it looks blank.
1. so you've never had a master password, and never saved your account passwords, correct? 2. can you create a complete set of steps for us like https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1257058#c0 ?

1. Yes, I never had a master password, but I did save my account password. Since this problem, the account name and password tab is blank. I remember that before this problem started, thunderbird was asking me to reenter the password for one of the 3 imap email accounts. I attempted to enter a password, but the system did not accept it. So, I pressed cancel and I believe since then this problem has been occurring.
2. I am unable to perform the test steps because I had a saved account password. When I start thunderbird, it does not asks for the account password. On reading the steps given in the link, I believe pressing ok without password in imap could be a reason for the problem. Kindly advice what needs to be done.
