Updated to 31.0 and now when visiting a web page and clicking links to other pages on that page, the back button/arrow only goes back 1 page. If I right click on the arrow to see all the links I have clicked, it only shows one in the list. Any ideas why would be appreciated. Thanks.

Solução escolhida

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

Did you change all those prefs that show in the System Details list as modified yourself or did you had an extension in the paste that has changed those?

Does this pref still have the default value (50) on the about:config page?

  • browser.sessionhistory.max_entries

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

ok thanks, does this happen on every website or only on one particular? can you also try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here...

Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems

Hi. It happens on every site I've tried, and also in safe mode. If I hover the mouse over the back button a box pops up saying "Go back one page" even if I have clicked links for 4 or 5 different pages

more options

sorry but this is an issue i've never encountered so far, so i'd need to continue with generic troubleshooting advice: does the problem also occur when you create a new profile for testing purposes?

Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles

Yes, it still does it with a new profile.

Fixed now. Thanks very much. The browser.sessionhistory.max_entries was set to 2. Changing it back to 50 fixed the problem.
