Settings are correct in OPTIONS>TABS w last box UNchecked so I stay on current page when r/c OPEN LINK IN NEW TAB. But does NOT work in FF History/Library
Really frustrating when trying to open multiple links within FF HISTORY Library. Instead of opening the new tab & keeping me in the Library, I get switched over to the page as it's opening in FF browser.
I can't find any info here or online to fix this.
Thank you.

hello, you could try opening multiple links from the history sidebar (ctrl+H) by middle-clicking or ctrl-clicking them...
Note that you can select multiple links in the Library and in the Sidebar via the usual Ctrl and left-click or Shift and left-click or cursor down for a range.
In the sidebar you need to click to the left of the icon to prevent opening the link.
You can open the selection in tabs via the right-click context menu.
- Toggle the Bookmarks sidebar on/off via "View > Sidebar > Bookmarks" or Ctrl+B (Command+B on Mac)
- Toggle the History sidebar on/off via "View > Sidebar > History" or Ctrl+H (Command+H on Mac)
ok thanks philipp & cor-el -
I guess I was trying to navigate the History/Library one link at a time, which I would prefer since I want to find what I'm looking for right away instead of bumping into a link I didn't like, yet again.
But I usually don't want to switch over to that page before just browsing the rest of the History/Library list as I'm trying to think about anything else I remember about that past link.
It's annoying as heck.
The advice was helpful, I can live with that.
I'm not going to close the thread right now until I first make a suggestion to SUPPORT reading this, I'd love to see an easy fix for that.
Just to r/c> OPEN LINK IN NEW TAB and have it work the same way it's works on every other link online.
Thanks.
There is this pref: browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInBackground
But it doesn't have effect if you open links via the Library, it only works when opened via the browser window (menu, toolbar, sidebar).
