Firefox 115.0, Win 11, DuckDuckGo search engine. Listening to BBC Sounds, close tab & sound continues. Close each tab in turn until Firefox closes -sound continues. Go to Task M<anager - shows 6 Firefox instances running. End all tasks. Reopen a single Firfox searcvh tab & sound comes back. Shut down computer & restart. Reopen a single Firefox tab and the sound comes back again. What on earth is happening and how do I make it stop? </p>

Now updated to 115.01 - and it still does it. Restart computer, open a new Firefox instance, there is ashort pause and the sound starts up again. No visible tab open except the homepage but Task manager reports a (variable) number of Firefox instances running. As before, force closing each instance in turn eventually shuts it up - but then it restartys as before. Aaaaargh!

I have this issue for a few weeks now. if i close firefox,

middle of watching a video. ill hear it continue for like 4-5 seconds.

Loading the page will double the sound. i did the reset on firefox but it didn't fix it. im starting to think its something in my pc that is causing this.
