Hi

Not new to Firefox and previously Thunderbird, now back to the new Thunderbird, but direct a weird Calendar problem. The solutions I found on the web doesn't work.

What I have: - macOS Catalina 10.15.4 - Nextcloud 18 + latest Calendar app - Thunderbird 68.10.0 (64-bit) - Lightning 68.10.0 With Thunderbird 68.9.x and Lightning 68.9.x same problem.

What I try: - Create a CalDAV Calendar: Calendar > New Calendar > On the Network > CalDAV > Username (correct) + Location: https://www.MYDOMAIN.com/cloud/remote.php/dav/principals/users/USERNAME/CALENDARNAME - Then I enter the Nextcloud app password and let save it in the Thunderbird password manager, no master password for now.

What I get: - Your calendar is created. > Done > Calendar is direct 'greyed out'. - When i click on that calendar and 'Switch this calendar on' > OK, calendar gets direct again 'greyed out'. - I use the same calendar settings and thus work in the macOS Calendar app.

What I have tried: - Older versions from Thunderbird and Lightning. - Reinstall Thunderbird and Lightning, tighter and separated. - Disable and Enable Lightning. - Always deleted all Mozilla and Thunderbird system files and reinstall.

After a day and a half I am out of ideas, thanks for help.

Regards Bart

Thanks for all replies. The problem was that Thunderbird Lightning uses the per calendar private CalDAV URL and not the normal CalDAV URL. It works now.

Try the TbSync and Provider for CalDav and CardDav add-ons instead of Lightning.

Hi

Those add-ons I know but I am always out to keep software simple and pure as possible. With those add-ons Lightning is still needed to see the tasks and calendars.

Thanks but will wait for a Thunderbird/Lightning only solutions for now.

The weird thing is that it was working before and now during reinstall of Thunderbird/Lightning it doesn't work anymore.

Check this - Anti-Virus might be blocking the ports.

The caldav process uses port 8008 and 8443, you might find your anti virus either blocks them, or gives low priority as it is not "internet" .

Hi

CalDAV with same ports work with the macOS Calendar application. Anyway I tried and stopped all firewalls and other 'blockers' to test, without result.

Weird, once this CalDAV Calendar has worked with Thunderbird. Maybe it's combination of macOS Catalina with Thunderbird?
