How ca I avoid the continous profile version upgrade? I have over 100 pc with user working around many workstation. It is annoying !
Say: 1- you have 100 workstations, every workstation have firefox 70.0.1; 2 - for some reason a workstation X upgrade 70.0.1 to 70.0.2. It happened unfortunately; 3 - a user A that open its profile on X workstation upgrade his profile to 70.0.2; 4 - the day after he use a different workstation Y and his profile won't work, firefox will start with a default-release profile; 5 - IT manager (me) have to move (!) because you need to upgrade workstaton Y firefox to let the user A works, but this time it will upgrade to 70.0.3; 6 - return to 2 - because users move - (and "for some reason ... upgrade" become "you need to upgrade" of point 5) and everything become s**t!
I need to avoid the profile upgrading at least on minor release to control the system even if I will leave firefox to other browser for my organisation.
Please help!
p.s.: sorry for my english p.s.2: let me say that one the best things of firefox is that profiles worked every where on every system every time. It is really annoying.

hello ccorsani, you could get back to the old behaviour by setting the MOZ_LEGACY_PROFILES variable in your environment. some more technical information for this would be available at Understanding in depth the profile per installation feature
i hope this can help you with your firefox deployment.
