For the 9th time, I have upgraded to windows 10 and the flash plugin crashes on every page! I have updated every thing I can thing of..installed CCleaner and ran that..unchecked my accelerator..unchecked protected mode..cleared cache on everything..cleaned my register..uninstalled and reinstalled flash and anything else I could think of, per suggestions on the forum and nothing has worked! I have, however, noticed that Internet Explorer works fine, but I prefer Firefox. (picky, huh?) I am not currently running Windows 10 at this time.

I think if you apply these changes to Flash now, before you update, that might help, but I'm not sure: Adobe Flash plugin has crashed - Prevent it from happening again.

Your Firefox may have logged some data that would help track down the cause of the problem. Please check the support article "Firefox crashes - asking for support" for steps to get recent crash report IDs from the about:crashes page. If any seem to correspond to the Flash crashes, please post some of the recent report IDs here.

I just purchased a new computer with W/10 pre-loaded @ factory. I have used & loved Firefox over EVERY other browser for several years & made it my default browser, quite superior to Microsoft's new 'Edge". However, one thing keeps consistently happening - Adobe Flash crashes EVERY time a web-page that requires it is opened. I have been through all available trouble-shooting offered by Mozilla & Adobe, but nothing remedies this. Numerous times I have checked the 'submit crash report' tab, but never get any feedback or remedy from that. Re-loading the page makes the alert disappear, but flash functions on the page are still limited. Is W/10 too advanced for the flash player to know what to do? I wonder how many W/10 users have similar problems.

Hi MJThompson, I'm sorry to hear about Flash crashing. When you use the Mozilla Crash Reported to submit data it is aggregated with the data of other submitters and used to spot trends and prioritize fixes. However, the team analyzing crash reports doesn't provide support.

If you want to share some crash reports with us to see whether we notice anything, you can paste the crash report IDs into a reply. Please check the support article "Firefox crashes - asking for support" for steps to get those crash report IDs from the about:crashes page or from disk.

jscher2000, you've bailed me out of pickles before, but now I really have a conundrum. I have an HP G6 laptop that was upgraded to Windows 10. Running FF 48, Flash 22, Shockwave for Director 12.

I have no problems with scripts hanging, and am using Flash with "ask to activate", and option "enable Flash protect" unchecked. Not been having any problems with temporary "allow now" Flash sites or unresponsive scripts

Enter the conundrum...I just replaced my XP (sigh...) with an HP Pavilion 510/Windows 10. Have the same FF 48, the same version Flash (after 23 didn't work... and Shockwave. I've checked my add on settings, plug ins etc. Everything between the two computers is identical.

But getting a constant "unresponsive script" every time I try to "allow now" the Flash plug in.

Can't for the life of me figured what why one works, and the other doesn't. huh?

Added also identical Trend Micro antivirus software between the two computers

Hi TerriF, on Windows 10, you might have an issue with the Skype extension, which you can disable on the Firefox Add-ons page.

Otherwise... does the unresponsive script dialog point to a web-based script or an internal or add-on script? Web-based script addresses generally start with http or https, while internal/add-on addresses generally start with chrome or resource.

Well, there's another interesting tidbit. Remember, the HP laptop with 10 upgrade works just fine. The HP desktop with 10 installed from factory is the problem child.

There is a SKYPE extension on my laptop, but it's disabled. The desktop has no SKYPE extension. Both have the same Trend Micro extensions disabled identically.

The unresponsive script dialogue box doesn't point to anything specifically, nor is there a way for me to see what script is hanging that I know of. What I will say is that when I say "allow now" for that site (that works perfect on the laptop), the URL field activity at the bottom seems to be trying to connect to adobe.com, but never getting there.

TerriF, the person who started this thread is probably getting email notifications for each message posted in this thread. Unresponsive script warnings and Flash crashes are completely separate things, so it's best to start your own thread. You can try the solutions the article Warning Unresponsive script - What it means and how to fix it. If that doesn't help, starting a new thread will allow the folks here to get more details about your setup. You can start a new thread here.

Thank you, Chris. I started a new thread. BTW, that solution page must be very old. There is no "Enter integer value" in about:config for FF 48
