Can I actually delete messages rather than have them sent to trash folder?
I want to know how I can actually delete messages instead of having them sent to a junk or trash folder and then delete them from there. I have several filters set up and send these to separate subfolders. But of course when I examine these and delete them, they go to trash. Then I can actually delete them so that they are gone, which is what I would think delete would do in the first place. Is there any way to do this, to delete messages without having them moved to the trash and then deleting them from there? It is important that I don't miss any messages, which I still do occasionally, but I will have 50 messages or more a day that are trash. Most of them go through my filters, but if I don't do daily maintenance with a bunch of unsorted trash I run into a real nightmare. Surely people have asked this, and I've seen a few with answers like "that is the way it was designed". Can it be done?
Thank you, if there is a helpful link please send that.
