I am running Firefox on OS X 10.10.3 and having a proxy access issue. it was fine while I am using FF 36.x but now working with FF 37.x (find attached screenshot for more details). With FF 37 I have entered the same user name and password then the proxy blocked my account due to too many log-in trying with invalid password.

I have uninstalled FF 37 then reinstalled FF 36 and now everything is working fine with FF 36. Can anyone assist me resolving this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Hi cor-el,

Thank you for prompt response, however unfortunately none of them helping me resolve the issue. As attached there is no such websocket option to toggle to false.

Yes, that prefs appears to have removed because disabling workers gives a problem with Hello.

  • Bug 1091016 - Pref network.websocket.enabled is no longer reasonable

Does this setting has any effect?

  • Firefox -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Network: Connection -> Settings:
    "Do not prompt for authentication if password is saved"

No, I have already tested the option. It does not help resolve the issue.

It got resolved in FF 38. It still asks with "moz-proxy:" however when you pressed cancel button it then asks in the way FF 36 asked. It is not as convenient as before but is working at least :)
