1. Click the Windows Start button, and select Run... on Windows XP or press Windows Key + R on Windows Vista/7. Type in "%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted" including the quotation marks and click OK.
2. In the resulting folder will be a text file for each crash report you have submitted. Using the View menu, arrange them by date to find out which is the newest file; and double-click on it to open it.
3. Report back to us with the latest crash ids.
Here is the last four

These crashes may get fixed in an upcoming Firefox 18.0.2 release.
Does it help if you start Firefox in Safe mode as that disables the JavaScript JIT compiler?
Same problem here -- constant crashes. Makes Firefox completely unusable suddenly.

Thanks for any help or suggestions. Nothing's changed on the system itself -- no updates to the computer or any drivers when they started happening with 18.x.

Hi bostongio9
Your crashes all have a different crash signature.
You can try a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before reinstalling a fresh copy of Firefox.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
- Firefox 18.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible, to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
- Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because all profile folders will be removed and you will also lose your personal data like bookmarks and passwords from profiles of other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
- It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Creating a profile":
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
Maybe also do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

Sorry, should've noted:
- Already did clean install with blank profile. Still crashed after about 5 minutes of browsing typical sites like Google News and Youtube.
- Already scanned for malware with multiple scanners. The computer is clean.
- Already tried different solutions suggested in other threads about disabling graphics gfx2 hardware & layer acceleration
