When I click on Preference window, it shows up far to the left, and 1/2 of it is hidden off-screen.
The preference window is on the far left of my screen, and only 1/2 of the preference window is showing for me to make personalization.

I find that when I have a BLANK page, then I have this problem, but if I open a Web page, then Preferences displays 'normally', but...there is a little blank 1" square that stays at the top left of my screen. See image, please, and thanks for your help.
Clearing (on my Mac) the Library prefs, as indicated did not help. However, I have narrowed the problem:

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
