I have multiple firefox windows open with multiple tabs each ( This is normal for my work). I never had any problem with this with the previous versions apart from abnormal memory consumption and CPU usage for some versions. After updating to firefox 6 no page is displayed !!! When firefox is started it tries to restore the session and all tabs stay in connecting... state without ever loading the page. The loading ajax-like circle rotates, but no data gets displayed. Stranger, the titles of some of the tabs are there but when I click on a tab it tries to reload it (instead of having already load it as in the previous versions) and then "hungs" again in the connection state.

Even the add-ons tab opens and loads forever....

No problem with IE or Chrome on the same machine at the same time.

Info:

OS: Windows XP Professional x64 (64 bit) version 5.2 SP 2 English, Memory 2 GB, Intel Core 2 CPU 4300 1.8

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Delete the files sessionstore.js [2] and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).
