I got rid of the addon. Restarted Firfox a dozen times now. Restarted my computer. But every time I open Firefox the download starts. The arrow up top shows no download is in progress. Only the green bar in the Firefox Icon on my taskbar shows that a download is happening along with an arrow fade in directly after I start firefox. It's gray now and nothing is in my Show All Downloads. I tried starting in safe mode with all the addons disabled. Still started the download. I would let it finish but it never does. The icon is completely green but it never says download is finished. I opened the video file successfully but it still told me when I exited firefox that a download was still in progress. When I clicked exit anyway, the file disappeared from my downloads folder. The addon that started this mess is ' 1-Click YouTube Video Download 2.2.4 '. Normally I use the Download helper but it wasn't working.

Issue resolved! My fourth try and the download actually completed itself. I am not sure how in absence of the addon, that it worked. Or why I couldn't stop the download or find it in the queue. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Firefox options are set so that if the browser closes during a download, it will resume the download when FF restarts.
