I subscribed to RSS feeds, but when selected they just prompt again to subscribe: Where are RSS preferences, such as frequency of update?

Safari includes among its preferences for RSS: Check for updates "Never" (manually); every hour, every 30 minutes. How do I set a LiveFeed preference for frequency of update in Firefox? Thanks for any help.

1. The first part of my post said: "I subscribed to RSS feeds, but when selected they just prompt again to subscribe. . ." How do i get a feed rather than a vicious cycle of prompts to subscribe and then after subscribing again, the very same prompt?

2. I asked: Where are RSS preferences, such as frequency of update?" How do I set any preferences for LiveFeed, please?

Please note that my original post opened with this: I subscribed to RSS feeds, but when selected they just prompt again to subscribe

1. I should have pointed out that this is a vicious cycle and that as soon as I press the subscribe button, I get another prompt to subscribe. That happens with each RSS to which I attempt to subscribe. I do not have this problem with Safari. Could this be a bug in running LiveFeed with Firefox 8.0.1 on a Mac using OS 10.7.2 (Lion)?

2. Does LiveFeed allow the user to set any preferences (as Safari does) and, if so, how does one set his or her preferences?

Respectfully, NormN

If you visit the feed URL then Firefox will offer to store that feed.

If you want to reload a fed then you can do that via the right-click context menu of that feed item in the Bookmarks Manager (Library; Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks)

I don't know if you can also do that with feed items on the Bookmarks Toolbar and the Bookmarks menu on a Mac, but it also should work with the Bookmarks side bar (View > Sidebars > Bookmarks).
