Why does a GET request from a REST server that returns JSON come in to FireFix 5.0 in XML format? Response comes in to IE8 and Chrome 13 correctly as JSON.

My ExtJS 4.0 web site issues AJAX GET requests to a REST web service. The service responds in JSON format.

I get an error in FireFox when I attempt to access the JSON data from the response.

I don't get any errors in IE8 or Chrome 13.

Using Fiddler, I determined that the Response to the GET request displays as XML when the GET is issued from FireFox, but correctly appears as JSON when issued from IE8 or Chrome.

No idea, but if you view the ACCEPT headers in Fiddler, is Firefox specifying that it prefers different response types than IE8 or Chrome 13?
