I have been using Firefox for about 6 years now. I have never changed my Tabs settings in Tools, Options. I checked the settings & they are set to open a new tab & not a new Window. Today, all of a sudden, when I click on the "+" sign to open a new tab, nothing happens. I can only open new windows, which I don't like. I even tried CTRL+T & that does nothing. I tried closing Firefox & reopening it & it still doesn't work. How can I get my Tabs working again? I am using Firefox 3.6.16. Thanks.

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Thanks. It's working again but from other people in this forum, I see that ASK Toolbar was probably the culprit. Thanks for your response.
